Boy Meets Boy

This novel, Boy Meets Boy by David Levitan is a great teenage love story that unlike very many others involves two boys in High School. The novel has amazingly realistic moments and amazingly unrealistic moments, although at times this might seem to be for the worse by the end of the book I was cheering the main character on. The book would be a great addition to any library collection although I think it is probably more appropriate for High School students because of the more physical parts. Including this book might reach out to some students who struggle with their own sexuality in high school's and communities that might be less accepting to them. I would recommend this book to any student looking for a fun, diverse read, not only to students who are gay, like the books main character. The other characters in the book all have different sexual orientations and this change in perspective can also help all students to better understand how hard it can be to get through high school and all that goes with it, regardless of what gender your attracted to. So add this to your reading lists and enjoy!
