I'm looking forward to learning and progressing in this course over the next weeks, and will be keeping this blog updated with my thoughts, ideas, and resources that I find and want to share!
There are a lot of things I'm hoping to learn through this process. First I hope to learn more about myself and my own views to help me become a better diversity teacher to students. I also really want to learn about newer and more diverse literature being provided for students today.
I do still have a lot of questions on how to deal with such large, and sometimes controversial issues in a classroom full of students who will have a lot of different views and personal experiences. I also am wondering how to find all of the resources that I will need to cover these and how to make them available to all students appropriately, but also not pushing anything they are uncomfortable with on them.
